Whiski Rooms Ardbeg Embassy
Some great news today in the form of the gloriously peaty Ardbeg teaming up with Edinburgh's Whiski Rooms (their spelling, not mine). For those unaware these guys have 2 locations in central Edinburgh. The first is on the Royal Mile, so its prime tourist territory but offers a welcome respite for all visitors with its bistro fare and sizeable selection of malts.
They do cater for all guests and even offer whisky tasting platters so you can journey around the Scottish malts without leaving Edinburgh. The other location which is on Edinburgh's 'the mound' offers epic views and is more pitched towards fine dining. However this is where they've teamed up with Ardbeg...
Mickey Heads, Ardbeg Distillery Manager, said: “The Whiski Rooms have proven themselves to be passionate and loyal Ardbeggians, which is why we selected them as the UK’s first ever On-Trade Ardbeg Embassy. We’re delighted to welcome the Whiski Rooms as an Embassy, and I look forward to sampling the Ardbeg-inspired food menu the next time I pop in for a dram.”
Whiski Rooms owner Anne Still said: ”We are proud to be named the first ever on-trade Ardbeg Embassy in the UK and know this is an initiative that they are keen to expand in the UK. We promise Ardbeg whisky fans a fabulous range of Ardbeg whiskies in our gantry and our adjoining shop. As well as private dining in our Ardbeg room, we have an amazing Ardbeg inspired menu available”
