Been a busy week, managed to catch The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which I thought was superb, a real treat. Somehow despite the obvious conclusion (anyone with a grain of historical knowledge will know about), there was much to saviour. Seeing the both sides of Jesse James; the family man, pitched against the ruthless gang leader.

Robert Ford was also memorable and the eerie and empty feeling of the film was a magical match. Ah, some may call it depressing or boring, but for me one of the best films of recent times. Also managed to catch:

Tries to take on a controversial subject and really doesn't do it justice, but what can you expect from Hollywood movie?

No Country For Old Men
Would have loved it, if was not for seeing Jesse James in the same week. Strong performances, memorable characters (including her from Trainspotting) and that crazy killer. Again the backdrop enhanced the film greatly.

We have the latest National Tresure film on Sunday evening and inbetween I'll be doing the latest Vinyl Adventure update. This week's treat will be Gaunt and Butterglove - well worth checking out!
